FAQ

  • A typical Jovia Life class lasts about 50 minutes and focuses on gentle, enjoyable movement designed to uplift both body and mind.

We begin with a light warm-up game to spark conversation, laughter, and a bit of mental stimulation, easing everyone into motion. From there, we flow into gentle stretching to prepare the body for the fun ahead.

Next comes a mix of two engaging, recreational games, such as a balance challenge or a light skill circuit, designed to improve coordination, mobility, and confidence in movement.

Then it’s time for the main game, where teamwork and laughter take centre stage. This is where the energy and joy really shine through!

Finally, we wrap up with a calming cool-down and a few minutes to chat, reflect, and connect with one another.

Every class is different, but the atmosphere is always supportive, social, and lighthearted, encouraging participants to move, smile, and feel their best.

  • Refunds and Cancellations

All class and package fees paid or payable in connection with your enrolment are non-refundable, except in the event that you provide Jovia Life with written notice of cancellation within five (5) days of attending your first scheduled class.
Upon receipt of a valid cancellation notice, Jovia Life will issue a refund for the class or package within thirty (30) days.

Refunds will not be granted under any other circumstances, including but not limited to absences, scheduling conflicts, or participant preference changes.

    Attendance and Missed Classes

No credits or refunds will be issued for a missed class, in whole or in part, except as specifically stated in this policy.
If a participant is unable to attend a class, they may choose to transfer their spot to another eligible individual (e.g., a friend, family member, or caregiver). The substitute participant must complete and sign all required waivers and forms prior to attending.

    Cancellation by Jovia Life

In the rare event that Jovia Life cancels a class or session, participants will be notified at the email address provided during registration, or any other email address later supplied to Jovia Life.

If a class or program is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances — such as instructor illness, facility issues, or scheduling conflicts — participants will be provided with one of the following options:

    A make-up class at a later date,

A credit applied toward a future class or program, or

A refund, at Jovia Life’s discretion.

    Force Majeure

If a class or program is cancelled, in whole or in part, due to a Force Majeure Event — including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, public health advisories, power outages, or other events beyond Jovia Life’s reasonable control — participants will not be entitled to a refund. However, Jovia Life will make every reasonable effort to provide class credits or schedule make-up sessions at a later time.

  • Just wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in (like what you’d wear for a walk). Bring a water bottle and a smile! We provide all the equipment needed.

  • We’re not about workouts or competition. We focus on joy, social connection, and movement that makes you feel good. It’s less about reps and more about games.

Our priority with every class is that you come excited to participate. Exercise does not have to feel like a chore. You are coming to hang out with your friends and exercising is second.

  • Jovia Life was started after seeing too many vibrant, wonderful older adults slowly withdraw from life due to isolation, intimidation around fitness, or a lack of accessible support.

As a society, we know all the science on how to support healthy aging, but there is a massive gap in delivering that knowledge in a way that was joyful, social, and truly empowering. This isn't a business, it's a response to a need for connection and dignity.

  • If it's not enjoyable, it's not sustainable. When people have fun, they show up consistently. And consistency, not intensity, is the true secret to long-term health and vitality. The fitness is a natural byproduct of the fun.

  • Our classes are specifically designed for adults aged 60 and older. However, we focus on ability and mindset rather than a strict age limit. Our classes are available at various skill levels, and you’re welcome to join whichever feels right for you.

  • To ensure everyone gets personal attention and a sense of community, we keep our classes intimate but filled. The maximum number of participants is 12 people.

  • Yes! We understand some people prefer individual attention. Please contact us directly at info@jovialife.ca  to enquire about availability and pricing for private sessions.
